Order Acceptance Policy. Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Optdex reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason. Optdex further reserves the right any time after receipt of your order, without prior notice to you, to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item. Your order will be deemed accepted by Optdex upon shipment of products or performance of services that you have ordered, as indicated by our servers. Title to goods and all risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the common carrier. All orders placed must obtain pre-approval with an acceptable method of payment, as established by our credit and fraud avoidance department. We may require additional verifications or information before accepting any order.

 If the reason for your return is due to an error on our part, we will pay the return shipping costs and refund your original shipping charges; otherwise, you are responsible for the return shipping costs and the original shipping charges will be non-refundable. Related duties, taxes, and fees for shipments to and from locations outside the continental United States are the responsibility of the customer.

Product must be in like condition to when it was purchased and include all original parts, accessories, and original packaging. Not valid for special orders, wholesale transactions, or for purchases intended for resale, lease, rental, or transactions where there is a separate written agreement.

Advance Replacement Guarantee:

We understand that in the event of a product malfunction or failure long downtimes are not an option. If you experience a malfunction or failure with a product at any point during the warranty period we’ll ship a replacement the same day of the issue. We’ll even expedite the shipment if requested, with an effort to provide a delivery date and time that meets your needs.

In the event of a product malfunction or failure during the three year periods we will send a replacement product prior to the return of the faulty product. Replacement product will be sent the same day we are notified, prior to the return of the faulty item, so long as we have sufficient stock. We will pay for the shipment of the replacement item and the return shipment of the faulty item to and from locations within the continental United States. Surface/economy transportation with transit times of 2 business days will be utilized unless expedited delivery is requested and approved. Shipping costs and related duties, taxes, and fees for shipments to and from locations outside the continental United States are the responsibility of the customer.

Advance replacement requests will be entered as customer requested purchase orders at current retail price. When the item(s) being replaced are returned and received, an account credit equal to the invoiced amount will be applied to the outstanding invoice. If the faulty item(s) are not received within 10 days of delivery of the replacement item(s) the customer will be responsible for the balance of the outstanding invoice.

Replacement item(s) may be reconditioned and will be of like, comparable, or improved functionality. Physical damage, cosmetic defects, or lack of functionality that existed and were stated at the time of purchase, such as with scratch & dent or clearance items, are not covered by this warranty.

Excludes consumable items, or items beyond their reasonable expected useful life. Not valid for special orders, wholesale transactions, or for purchases intended for resale, lease, rental, or transactions where there is a separate written agreement.

SPECIFIC WARRANTY TERMS (applies to all above):

Optdex warrants you, the original purchaser, that this product will be free from defects in material or functionality, as originally intended by the manufacturer, for the period in which you own and possess the product, so long as it is properly used and maintained.

This warranty does not apply to failure of the product resulting from misuse, abuse, accident, neglect or mishandling, improperly adjusted or maintained product, incorrect environment, improper installation or configuration, software validity, compatibility, or version, accident, flood or other acts of God, physical damage, cosmetic defects or inconsistencies, electrical issues such as lightning, power surges, incorrect electrical voltages or other electrical stress, normal wear and tear, or modification.

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE, JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION OR COUNTRY TO COUNTRY. OPTDEXS’ RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPLACEMENT FOR DEFECTS ONLY AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT, OPTDEXS DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS FOR THE PRODUCT, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW, COURSE OF DEALING OR PERFORMANCE, USAGE OR TRADE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, PERFORMANCE, SUITABILITY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE IMPOSED BY LAW AND CANNOT BE EXCLUDED ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD. SOME STATES, JURISDICTIONS OR COUNTRIES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION LASTS, SO, TO THE EXTENT THIS IS APPLICABLE, THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS LIFETIME WARRANTY COVERAGE TERMINATES IF YOU SELL OR OTHERWISE TRANSFER THIS PRODUCT TO ANOTHER PARTY.

OPTDEX DOES NOT ACCEPT, AND DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES, LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS WARRANTY AND FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES, FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST SOFTWARE. OPTDEX LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH OPTDEX  IS RESPONSIBLE.

Shipping Policy

 

When placing an order with Optdex you will be presented with several shipping options during checkout. Except for special circumstances we prefer to ship FedEx. If there is a special reason that you need to ship via a method we do not offer on the website please contact us.

When you checkout, our site calculates the weight of your order and requests shipping rates in real time from FedEx. The rates we charge are the standard FedEx published rates and we do not mark them up or add any handling charges. Please note that shipping rates are calculated on many factors including package weight, package size, send from address, send to address, fuel surcharges, etc. If you believe there is an error in your rate calculation please contact us BEFORE placing your order.

Orders must be received prior to 3pm CST (FedEx) Monday through Friday in order to be shipped the same day. Orders received after the deadline may still get shipped but we cannot guarantee that they will. If your order is urgent please place it as soon as possible. There are certain situations where the order may not ship the same day even if received before the deadline. Some of those exceptions are:

Orders not placed during normal business hours will not be processed until the next business day. If part of your order is out of stock and you choose FedEx as your shipping method we will ship your order when the out of stock items are received. (This is usually no more than 2 business days). If part of your order is out of stock and you choose a FedEx Express service we will contact you to see if you would like the in stock portion of your order to ship that day or if you would like us to wait for the remainder to arrive before shipping. Please note that there will be additional shipping charges for split shipping. Other unexpected exceptions may apply that may be specific to the situation.

Delivery and Transit Times:

Delivery times vary depending on the date the order is shipped, the shipping and delivery addresses, and other factors. FedEx is pretty reliable when it comes to their transit times so once you receive a tracking number from us you should be able to estimate with some accuracy when your order will arrive. Once you receive your tracking number you can visit the FedEx website to track your package. The tracking information usually contains the estimated delivery date which is usually pretty accurate. International Shipping:

We will gladly ship your order to any destination in the world serviced by FedEx.  If you have any questions or special requests regarding international shipping please contact us via  Phone or Email.

Loss or Damage

If your order is lost or damaged during transit we will handle the claim with the carrier to save you the time and aggravation. We will also replace your order, up to the insured amount ($100 by default), as soon as the carrier has processed the claim. This can be a complicated procedure, please contact us if you have any questions about it. The good news is that packages are rarely lost and the items we sell are hard to damage so this will probably never affect our customers.
