Arista 7050QX Series Data Center Switches 10/40G High-Performance Data Center Switches

Overview The Arista 7050QX-32 and 7050QX-32S are key components of the Arista 7050X Series portfolio. Designed as purpose-built 10/40GbE data center switches, they combine wire-speed Layer 2 and Layer 3 features with compact, energy-efficient form factors for software-defined cloud networking.

The switches support flexible 10G and 40G configurations in a 1RU footprint, enabling scalable leaf and spine designs to handle high-bandwidth east-west traffic in modern data centers, high-performance computing, and big data environments:

7050QX-32: Offers 32x 40GbE QSFP+ ports with up to 2.56 Tbps overall throughput.
7050QX-32S: Features 32x 40GbE QSFP+ ports along with 4x 10GbE SFP+ ports (internally shared with the first QSFP+ port) for direct 10GbE and 1GbE connections.

Both models offer cut-through latency starting from 550ns, a 12MB dynamically allocated packet buffer pool, and energy efficiency at less than 5W per 40GbE port typical power draw. An optional built-in SSD provides onboard storage for logging and data capture.
