1. Series Models Overview
The Aruba 2930F Switch Series is designed for enterprise edge, SMB, and branch office deployments. It offers entry-level Layer 3 access capabilities, enterprise-class security, VSF (Virtual Switching Framework) front-plane stacking (up to 8 units), built-in 1GbE or 10GbE uplinks, and support for PoE+ power delivery in a compact, fixed power supply form factor.
Aruba AirWave: On-premises network management system for multi-vendor campus network infrastructure.
Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager: Granular policy management and dynamic segmentation across wired endpoints.
Operating System: Powered by ArubaOS-S, featuring an industry-standard CLI, Web GUI, SNMP, and REST API interface.
Architecture & Stacking Capabilities
Virtual Switching Framework (VSF): Front-plane stacking technology allowing up to 8 switches to be virtualized into a single managed system using standard 10GbE SFP+ ports or 1GbE SFP ports.
Power over Ethernet: IEEE 802.3at PoE+ compliance delivering up to 30W per port for APs, IP phones, surveillance cameras, and smart building sensors.
Energy Efficiency: Supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) for low power consumption during periods of low link activity.
